This weekend I tested the Dottie handbag by Swoon Sewing Patterns. I love the shape of this handbag and truly the possibilities are endless...make up bag, lunch tote, purse...you get the idea. This pattern has excellent written instructions with occasional photos to help you create this uniquely shaped bag. I chose to use longer handles so it would be easy to sling over my arm while on the go. The piping was challenging but not impossible and it adds a nice touch to the finished shape of the bag. Included in the tutorial are very precise instructions for adding piping. I feel like it gives the finished bag a professional finishing touch. Additionally the author also has a FREE piping tutorial. All of her patterns are fabulous and professionally written.
